Cemetery Rules and Regulations

No graves may be opened without permission from the Cemetery Board (this included cremations)

Families may not have graves opened themselves

Plots must be purchased through the Dickson Cemetery Association

Cremations must have a purchased plot for burial
-
Concrete vault is required for full burial. (Not required for cremation burial)

No plants, shrubs, fencing, metal posts, curbs, borders, gravel, rock, charcoal, cans, bottles, wire, homemade headstones, clothing, glass or breakable objects allowed

A tombstone (headstone) must be set to mark the grave within 1 year of burial

Head and footstones are the property of the plot owners. Dickson Cemetery assumes no responsibility for the upkeep or any damage done to such monuments or markers.

Dickson Cemetery reserves the right to remove any arrangement that is old, unsightly, against the rules, or interferes with mowing or maintenance.

It is unlawful for any person, corporation, company, or other entity to destroy or carry away any cemetery marker or grave marker.

Destruction or removal of a cemetery marker or grave marker is a Class C Felony

Flower/Decoration Policy:

Decorations will be removed as needed for mowing and cleanup. Typically around 10 days after Memorial Day any decorations on the ground are removed for mowing and maintenance, along with a spring and fall cleanup. Arrangements on headstones or in monument vases will remain provided they do not interfere with maintenance.

Dickson Cemetery reserves the right to remove any unsightly flowers or decor.
